At our cattery, we take great care in carefully selecting adoptive families for each of our kittens. If we believe your home or lifestyle isn't suited to one of our kittens, we'll try to direct you to the right cat for you. To reserve a kitten, contact us. Please note that we do not separate babies from their mothers before 3 months, the age necessary for their physical and emotional well-being.
You can add your name to my waiting list for the possible adoptionof a kitten from my breeder by making a deposit of $400 and completing the reservation form available upon request. This form guarantees you a place on the list, but not a specific kitten. The kitten will be chosen between 11 and 12 weeks of age during your visit to the breeder. Before this age, it is difficult for families to make an informed choice, and for me to help you find the kitten that best suits you. People on the waiting list will be contacted in the order they were registered to come and choose their kitten on site. If no kitten suits you during your visit, you will remain on the list for future litters. If a kitten catches your eye, it will be reserved for you, and adoption can take place at 16 weeks!
I normally have a 6-10 month waiting time for kitten adoption, this timeframe is variable, as it will depend on the number of kittens born in future litters and the choice of families. My waiting list is open if you wish to adopt a kitten. Adoption is an important step and I will support you throughout the process.

In 2013, researchers identified the mutation that defines the breed. Genome-wide analyses were performed in the Cornish Rex breed and in 11 phenotypically diverse breeds and two random bred populations. A gene on chromosome A1, the lysophosphatidic acid receptor 6 (LPAR6), was identified to have a 4 base pair deletion. This induces a premature stop codon in the receptor that is absent in all straight haired cats analyzed. LPAR6 encodes a receptor essential for maintaining the structural integrity of the hair shaft. In humans, LPAR6 mutations result in a form of ectodermal dysplasia characterised by a woolly hair phenotype
